****Barack Obama Group**** VP Biden: President Obama offered to give him money to help his family

In the interview, Biden also revealed an offer Obama made during lunch as Biden's son, the former Delaware attorney general, was losing his ability to speak. Concerned about how his son's family would support themselves without his salary, Biden said he and his wife had discussed selling their house.

"He said, 'I'll give you the money,"' Biden recalled referring to Obama. "Whatever you need, I'll give you the money. Don't, Joe — promise me. Promise me."

There were a lot of other interesting points in the CNN interview, but this showed me, once again, what a kind and decent human being President Obama is.

Neither was his son. This article shows the depth of the bond between biden and obama. It also is a stark indictment of how messed up our healthcare system is When the family of a veteran and attorney general has medically related financial trouble.

I we had universal healthcare this would not be happening.

But the fact his family would not have his income anymore. Nonetheless, I'm a bit surprised he did not have life insurance or something.

and I don't do that very often.

That sounds like a sincere heartfelt gesture by a genuinely good person.

Now I am even more proud to have him as our President. Thanks for posting.

He has spent 46 years as a senator and VP, and is not a rich man. Obviously he wasn't on the take. I love Joe. Reminds me of legendary Speaker Sam Rayburn. He spent decades in Washington and years as Speaker, and when he died his only asset was a house in Bonham, Texas. He lived in a rooming house all those years in DC.
