When I hear parents claim they don't pay for their kids to march and protest at college, they don't understand.

Higher learning isn't about teaching kids what to think - it is about teaching them how to think.

When they see discrimination, racism, injustice right in front of them, they should be able to apply their learning and knowledge to achieve the change we all know is needed. In the absence of action, action then becomes necessary.

I think those parents should be proud of what their children are learning at the University of Missouri. They should be proud of the changes their children's action is bringing to make this a little bit better world.
