Barack Obama
Related: About this forumI'm going with Hillary.
Which is baffling to me because, in 2008, I seriously thought I'd never vote for her if she won the primary. I despised her.
But she seems to be the only candidate, now that Biden is gone, embracing Obama's legacy. I think Sanders has a lot of good ideas but I don't like how dire of a picture he paints. His rhetoric is almost as negative as the GOP's and while I think there is so much more work to be done, I firmly believe America is 1,000 times better than it was in January, 2009.
I think Bernie is a good man ... but I want a president to continue what Obama started.
Because of that, I find myself going with Hillary. Even if reluctantly.

(305,683 posts)SOS.. I rooted for her as well as the President.
They came together for the greater good of our Country. It's amazing what can be achieved when that happens.. and by more than a few accounts are good friends now.
I got on board back in April when she launched.. 'cause I sure as hell didn't want Bernie. He disses President Obama and you know that doesn't fly with me.
Hillary will get things done. Bernie talks about it.
It's easy to believe America is 1000 times better since 2009.. because it is!
I think the more you get to know Hillary's experience and what all she has accomplished.. the more you'll actually get into the groove of supporting her. That's my hope for sure.
She sure did good at the first debate and the Benghazi grilling.. she left the repubs in the dust as you know.
Welcome, DIrish~

(25,942 posts)the income inequality gap got wider and the Middle Class has continued to slip into obscurity. Though I'm a big Obama supporter - no Banksters, Corporatist or Wall St leeches were prosecuted for the antics they pulled to widen the chasm and steal from The American People. I don't believe that Hillary will treat them any different in that those same groups are some of her biggest backers and donors.
IMHO Bernie will right those wrongs as President. That is why I'm for Bernie. He is the only candidate that is speaking truth to power from both Parties.
There is a reason that Goldman Sachs CEO is 'ok' with Hillary. There is a reason that the MSM has all but blacked out Bernie's candidacy to this point.
Bernie wants to bring this Country back from the brink of 'oligarchy' and TPTB don't want that. They want to continue fleecing us. They are afraid of Bernie and don't want him to catch the ear of the American People. In their mind they are content with 'anybody but Bernie' and they are manipulating us to make that happen. I personally don't like to be manipulated or fleeced. My vote is for Bernie and his 'Enough is Enough' Revolution. Go Bernie!!!!

(305,683 posts)\President Obama and Hillary actually get it done.
And, you don't come into the BOG and campaign for him.
He's just doom and gloom .. dissing everyone else.
I don't like him. end of story.

(82,383 posts)really strange, like from some alternate reality.
I don't know any voters who care in the least about prosecuting anybody.

(9,711 posts)This place is crawling with angry revolutionaries today. You'd think they'd learn that they hurt the cause with anger and no effort to persuade people their way is best.
