Don't lose heart. Give the day a chance to start

This one is bittersweet. The moment at the inauguration where President Obama looks over the crowd one last time. It was great to see him at his second inauguration after the media counted him out but very sad knowing that this is his last term. I’d keep him for a third term but that wouldn’t be fair to his family.

I'm going to take a look one more time."

Malia moves aside, calls Pete Souza forward, one last shot.

Sadly so many never allowed the day a chance to start. They never let this President have a time to start, they wanted him to fail. They denigrated him. Yet he proved them wrong over and over.

Love you Mr Pesident.

That says so much about his character. I am glad he was able to appreciate the moment in his life, he sure earned it.

Looking at that picture and remembering how hopeful I was. How much of the agenda we voted for was never achieved because of those who never gave the president a fair shot?!

I still have the concert at the Lincoln Memorial just before the Inaugural on a VHS tape. He truly could have worked well with a Congress wanting to help this country 7 years after its first attack on the mainland and inheriting that horrendous economic nightmare in the year of his campaign.

He was ready, willing and able. And the world loved him. We loved him. Then comes the bankrupt GOP, acting like terrorists bent on destroying him and our economy.

Still. It was an unforgettable and fabulous day.
