Barack Obama

Well, beside the unthinkable and an Obama third term.
I've been on the fence. I think I'd support Biden if he ran. I like some of what Bernie says but I feel he marginalizes certain issues that I believe are vital to the success of our country (racial issues, gun issues) and I think Hillary is running a much more consistent, and better ideological campaign, than what she ran in 2008 - but I just don't know.
Have any of you made up your minds on who you're supporting?

O'Malley first.
Sanders second.
Clinton third.

(3,626 posts)I'm on the fence about the specific person, and expect to keep an open mind for several more months. The Dem, for sure though!! The alternative (and that includes sitting it out) is the stuff of nightmares.

(94,633 posts)I was keeping myself undeclared in the beginning, and was WAS interested in learning more about Bernie Sanders, until his followers here at DU got so unbelievably nasty. Sorry guys, you lost me. I put the Hillary avatar on my posts more in disgust with the behavior of DU's Bernie fans that out of devotion to Hillary herself.
Hillary is fine by me. (I would have gladly voted for her in 2008, but since Obama was our candidate I was actually overjoyed with that outcome.) I think she is formidably intelligent, hardworking, and extremely well-prepared. I like the brainy ones.
She's a bit awkward with the media, and does not trust them as far as she can throw them, or at least that is how I read her situation. And why would she? If she's our nominee, it will be our responsibility to have her back, because the VRWC, which we know exists, will do its worst. They don't need our help -- HRC does, and so does ANY Democratic nominee.

(82,383 posts)I'm a Democrat. They can call me Third Way , etc., but I'm a Democrat in the end. I support the candidates and don't want to tear them down. If Hillary's the one, she'll have my support.
