Barack Obama
Related: About this forumPresident Obama is an amazingly graceful man, I have no idea how he can keep his
composure and calm so well. He is very extraordinary and his singing touched my heart in a way I haven't felt in a long, long time. He never gets mad or gets nasty or mocks those around him. He just smiles and leads by example. He came along at a pivotal moment in our history when we were at our lowest and raised us up again, to a country that is respected and admired.
He and Biden are just the opposite of Bush and Cheney...just think how far we've come since those two clowns did everything in their power to destroy the country. They left a Herculean task for Obama and Biden and both men rolled up their sleeves and said, 'let's fix this mess' and they did!

Hell, my cell ringer is him singing Al Green
Rex
(65,616 posts)I doubt I could even croak out a single bar! Then again I am shy in crowds, the POTUS on the other hand has that total Command Performance thing going on...like a few extra layers of charisma.
What Al Green song is he singing?

He is an amazing man, and so sorely needed after Bush/Cheney.
I kinda feel sorry for the bigots, all hunkered in their corners and snarling.

(65,616 posts)I wish I could write like some of our epic DU writers, but that came straight from the heart. I will always hold those two men and their families dear and close to my heart. I just wish I would have given him more of a chance in his first term, that is my loss for not being objective and letting the BP disaster turn me off to his presidency.
Everyone in the BOG was right from the very first day of his first term in office - we were watching the makings of a truly exceptional president.

(305,400 posts)not coming around to Gay Marriage fast enough but he did and look where we are now!
I think a lot of us wish we would have figured certain things out sooner but the important thing is that we did!
It's just really delightful to read someone who actually did come around to seeing the whole forest and appreciate it fully!
I think you write well..
Truly amazing. He just blew me away today.
