And thoughtful as always. We are so lucky to have this man as our president right now.
And when WILL we finally wake up and do something?

from John Lewis' Facebook page:

I grew up in the rural South. Every Wednesday night as a child we went to Bible study prayer meetings. I’ve been to Charleston many, many times. I have spoken in many of these churches, and this makes my heart hurt. . . How many more shootings must we endure? How many more human beings must be murdered before we speak up and speak out, before we say we must put an end to gun violence.

It is not just one person pulling the trigger, it is what's in our environment, in our makeup, that drives someone to a point where they are willing to murder innocent people, of all places in the house of the Lord, studying the holy word, praying prayers of peace, love, and forgiveness.

If you cannot go to a church, or a mosque, or a temple, to study and pray, where can we turn as a nation and as a people?

The 'solution' is to get your own gun...

It is your God-given right.

Congressional member from voting on sensible gun issues. We have licenses for driving, owning a vehicle, purchasing insurance and rules of the road. I am not against the Second amendment and the reason was at the time they realized we had a need for protection of a right to own a gun but since this time we do have the National Guard and other military branches which are trained in the protections. NRA just wants to sell more guns and don't care who purchases the weapons.

Obama has made passionate pleas on gun controls far too many times as president, this should not be happening. We are attacked at shopping malls, theaters, schools and more than once in places of worship. We also have the right to life, liberty and happiness, not having to worry about getting shot just because someone without any control is in possession of a gun or guns.
