Obama vs. Bush

Is it a fair question to ask a republican what George Bush did better than Barack Obama? What kind of responses could I expect?

They love authority figures (but don't tread on me) and W, they have been told, was STRONG. Obama is weak except when their old told he is all powerful.

9/11 - they had their convention in NYC in 2004. They were literally dancing on the graves. They love them some 9/11. Best thing that ever happened to them.

8. It's fair

Right wingers will say:

1. That Obama spent too much. The economy apparently would have recovered itself.
2. Obama is a socialist. See the ACA. Maybe even a communist. He was on a board with Ayers once and hired Van Johnson in his administration, and that is enough to make a person a communist.
3. Obama's peacemaking and diplomacy make us look weak. (Right wingers are bullies and think anything less than a full bullying stance is weakness).
4. Obama plays golf all the time.
5. Obama's use of AF1 offends them. They especially thought it budget breaking wasteful that Michelle and the girls flew to Hawaii for Christmas ahead of the President and the plane therefore had to make 2 trips and that is horribly wasteful. Michelle and the girls should have taken a commercial flight. (Though they'd have to take the SS with them and so that would probably be more expensive).
6. The Obamas are too often on vacation at taxpayer expense.

IOW, Obama is always wrong. Oh, what did Bush do better? They can't think of anything, so they change the subject to something like the above mentioned 6 items.
