An apparently happy marriage of two accomplished individuals. Two adorable daughters. Both parents are classic high achievers. Both are very physically attractive.

Except for being black, and being Democrats, they would be and could be the idealized American family. If not for an entrenched, institutionalized racism that is one of the defining characteristics of the GOP, the Obamas would be idolized by GOP members from the right to the far right. But unfortunately, they suffer from the "taint" of mixed race.

This site would be less positive and more depressing without SS2's threads. I have to all the attention she gives to social issues (especially ones that affect Black communities), even despite the alert stalkers and DUers who express apathy towards these issues. SS2's threads deserve more attention than they get.
