Was With A Crowd Cheering As Obama Arrived in Seattle Today!

Okay, I wasn't down at the airport (that's a file pic), but saw the live coverage of the plane as it landed and it seemed like it would never stop and...

And...

But finally! Wah-lah!

Obama did his trademark confident skipping down the stairs to the roars of...

Of...

Me and some people at store where the television was on. They also showed him shaking hands in a tiny crowd there to greet him, as the news noted the security there, and we commented what a hard job he has that turned his hair grey.

There was some footage of people with signs and I asked, 'Are those welcome signs or protest signs?'

The people there said they hoped they were welcome signs. That's when things got more animated.

Tthe talk went to chances of Democrats to win more seats, the prospects of which was exhilarating to all of us.

We were just a group of women who'd never met before from all walks of life, countries and ages, all rocking with our president being in our town!

Loved the comraderie! Yeah!

Saw that on thread about his visits to other nations. It's a very special vehicle.

P. S.: And those look a lot like the Secret Service agents I saw on TV in that second pic! We talked about them, too.

Thanks for sharing it!

I like being in a friendly crowd too.

State elections here are in August, and the nasty anti-everything-Obama attack ads are flooding the airwaves. Since the JRT Brigid chewed the tv remote, I have to adjust controls manually. She probably figures she's already done her part, so she refuses to help further.

Anyway, the point is that I can't so easily avoid the nasty ads, but I keep the volume low anyway - and I've found ad time's a good opportunity to drown that stuff out with a peppy civil rights song or something of that nature. So far it's working.

Grrr - I might never again enjoy the crowd scene you described, but I'm truly delighted to hear about them from elsewhere. Isn't it such a warm feeling?

Only suppose to last a few days. Before this I haven't really needed to even turn fans on. Beautiful summer so far.
