For demonstrating compassion to the hungry, not cutting their food stamps or blaming them for the billionaire's economic coup on this country...

"I’ve noticed something about President Obama…..when everyone else is biting their nails, and he knows he’s done everything he can, and is waiting for the right moment, he leaves the White House and does something productive by giving to others. He does not sit around worrying or feeling sorry for himself, or increasing angst….he gets out and works. He is amazing. He’s gone to Martha’s Table before during such times…..can’t think of exactly when, others will remember probably, but this is a constructive, healthy pattern of his. Amazing."

Especially when they too may be in need with the furlough.

Helping hands, treestar. It's wonderful.

In my letter to the WH which I like to think he might've read, I explained that was the reason I wanted to tell him the story of my dream, the one where he and Michelle and a whole slew of SS showed up at my house for a Neighborhood Watch organizing meeting. I wanted him to remember we do love and appreciate him, and maybe the story of that silly little dream would bring a smile to his heart on the heaviest days. I even told him about the SS agents in the trees! They were all over the place. None of the neighbors showed up, but that meant more dessert for everyone else. In my mind I can still see and hear that limo rolling up with the fender flags and "Hail to the Chief" playing in my head; my total and utter amazement that they were coming to see me!

Most of the people around here would consider that a nightmare. Guess I'm not paranoid enough.

I can't imagine being president and having to visit a food kitchen in the country I'm leading and in the city I'm living in.
The so called Christian conservatives who only live to bring this man down, should work with him and improve the lives of struggling Americans.
Imagine a great country; 2014! If we get there.

Isn't it wonderful that the furloughed feds are helping out too. They are hurting themselves, yet they are there to give a hand.

Now that is patriotic. That is what america is about.
