How in sync are Pres. Obama and VP Biden? So in sync that when they walk, they walk in step.

Are you implying such a comment would 'generate' homophobic slurs by the members of the BOG?
This is a group, and not a forum to bash others. We support our president and are against bigotry.

(6,151 posts)So it's easy to offload pics regularly and start on a whole new batch, knowing there'll be plenty more to come. In a few weeks I'll buy yet another thumb drive to COPY the pix one and store in my safety deposit box for safekeeping. I'm leaving instructions (and funds) to send them to a friend when and if I croak first.
Cha
(305,137 posts)I got this far without knowing all that stuff but I did!
IrishAyes
(6,151 posts)Thumb drives are little storage units you pop into the usb slot of your computer; whatever you want to send to it, do so, and then pop it back out again. They're cheap, easy to use, and fabulous for portability though I use them for my file backups; one for docs, one for pix, and the third for music. You can buy them with anywhere from 2 GB to, I suppose, even a terrabyte but that would be sort of expensive. I also don't like everything left solely on one thumb drive because what happens if you lose or damage it? Speaking of damage, I got a nice soft case to keep mine in because I don't like putting the caps back on. They can get stuck and be hell to remove.

28. This Was Brilliant
The symbolism of this walk only a couple of days after a sick woman rammed a Whitehouse gate is powerful. And nothing but happy faces is just the icing on the cake. Washington DC needed a moment like this to give them temporary cheer. Well done Mr. President. Well done.

(23,787 posts)I notice that the President rarely wears sunglasses. I think it's because he wants people to see his face and shades tend to hide the face. (Why celebrities always wear them!) I read once that President Kennedy refused to wear sunglasses when he was giving speeches or shaking hands because he felt they covered him up too much.
Thanks for posting!
a.
Cha
(305,137 posts)Yeah, I was thinking about PBO not wearing shades today like VP Biden. I've seen him in them before but, you're right.. not very much.
'Course some people need to wear them.. I never wore them 'cause I wanted the Sun to shine in my eyes. But, now I wear them sometimes for not so much Sun.
Thanks for the history lesson on JFK..

Some celebrities wear sunglasses because they want to be noticed! And some, sad to say, like other people will wear sunglasses at night so the condition of their pupils doesn't show. 'nuff said.
