Barack Obama
Related: About this forumStill proud!
I'm still very proud that we have a President who is not intimidated by the "religious" right and has the courage to go before Planned Parenthood and say these words - "When it comes to a women's health, no politician should get to decide what's best for you. The only person who should get to make decisions about your health is you."
Yes! And this - "I want you to know that youve also got a President whos going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way. Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.
Thank YOU, President Obama, for your commitment to women's rights and women's health.
Obama is the only sitting President to ever address Planned Parenthood!
Please remember that this is the Barrack Obama Group. Haters are encouraged to take their negative vibes elsewhere.

(302,847 posts)There's so many of us out here who are looking at the big PICTURE and not throwing our hands up in the air and stomping our feet with vows to leave the Democratic Party based on what Glenn Greenwald has to lie about.
And Appreciate that these two guys are in charge..

(3,919 posts)we don't know everything but we can trust there is a big picture. when the president was first elected and he got his morning presidential briefings i am sure his picture was "enlarged + then some"...and he also realized that he was not being told everything - so he learned to keep moving forward with what he really believes in - all of us.

(10,893 posts)because if these people did decide to leave the Democratic Party just from this one non-scandal, then who else is there to vote for besides the Republicans? We all know that neither the Greens nor the Libertarians will win any national elections, as both parties lack the people-power and the money-power. None of the 3rd parties really have any name recognition. If I'm correct, I doubt there are even any people in Congress who represent any 3rd parties at all.
That's why I never understood protest-voting. These type of people really should consider taking a civics course and learn about how government works.

(6,151 posts)And I'm glad he's VP. But what you're talking about is one reason I'd get down on my knees and crawl over hot coals to elect Hlllary in 2016 - because dear, beloved Joe is a long-odds to win. With enough support, Hillary can almost certainly get us there.

(11,511 posts)Some are just mad because "their" own agenda has not been taken up by the president. Some are just not able to understand that there has to be a middle ground, they can't always have things their way, or no way at all. Some are paranoid and the fear that the government is "wiretapping" their phone calls scares the to death and they get mad. Others are simply being lead down the road by the right wing trolls that come here to disrupt things, and there seems to be a lot of them lately with more coming in day by day. It's easy for some to fall into the trap set by the right wing trolls, and that's kind of sad.
The majority though will do the right thing and vote. They know deep down that letting republicans take over congress would be a huge mistake.
Could you imagine how upset these people would be if tea party took control? They think they have problems now!
