(59,938 posts)She is the first to announce to run for the House seat. There are 2 other women, both from the state legislature already mentioned. Gray has the advantage as the only one who has won state wide. Though she actually has less real experience than the other two, being lt governor may be a great position to run from.
She is from a Vermont political family and had a lot of support from former governor Madeline Kunin, though Kesha Ram has had Kunin's support too. Though I do not know if it is accurate, a few people on local boards said she has support from Leahy. Given that Scott is not running, she easily beat her Republican opponent when she ran for lt governor.
Any of the three women mentioned would be great choices.

(8,617 posts)Sanders US Senate seat in 2024 or Welch US Senate seat in 2028(assuming Welch decides to serve only 1 term.)
The other Democratic candidates for the 2022 At Large VT US House Race is Senate President Becca Balint or House Speaker Jill Krowinski.

(59,938 posts)I have heard Gray, Balint and Ram all speak to relatively small groups of Vermonters and they are all good. I agree that whoever wins the Congressionall seat will be a top contender for the Senate. Why I said there are a few jumps, Sanders has not said he won't run and she has yet to win the nomination or the November race.
As to Dovovan, who is popular, I would not rule him out if he opted to run for Senate. He might like to run for Governor.
