Could Democrats win the 2022 MO US Senate Election if Eric Greitens-R is the Republican nominee?

Eric Greitens is a scandal plagued former Republican Governor of Missouri who had to resign from office. The Democratic nominee for the 2022 MO US Senate Election will be Scott Sifton-D. The state senator of MO who represents St Louis County.

MO has been steadily trending red for quite awhile.

You prioritize your resources.

If you want to turn a red state purple, focus on Texas. Or North Carolina. States with large numbers of people coming into the state and growing urban centers. (GA is one of those too). Missouri is neither of those things.

If someone runs, support them of course, but it shouldn't be ahead of places like NC, TX, or GA, or maintaining places like NV or AZ.

Trump really lowered the bar for any standard of decency.
They would probably go right on ahead, and elect a man, who participated in the Jan 6th insurection.
