Democratic candidates to replace Roy Blunt(R-MO).

Scott Sifton-D former state senator from Afton,MO located in St Louis County. Can he win statewide in the November General Election against a controversial/mediocre Republican nominee?

I'll see if I can find the tweet.

Here: To all that are asking: thank you to the many who have said kind things. But I will never run for office again. Nope. Not gonna happen. Never. I am so happy I feel guilty sometimes. #RoyBluntRetiring— Claire McCaskill (@clairecmc) March 8, 2021

She might know of some very capable Democrats who would be willing to turn a red seat blue.

it's posted here on du in one of the threads. She says no thanks, but she's having the time of her life and she has no plans whatsoever, of ever coming back.

I know nothing about MO other than what I read and hear in the news.

It would be awesome for us if a Dem miraculously emerged as a front runner, beating down all of the right wing nut jobs and loons which seems to be cultivating there.

Hopefully, Donnie gets involved in the primary, resulting in an extremist Republican nominee who may be easier to defeat.

were good candidates, it is so hard for Democrats in Missouri. I would love to see Nichole Galloway run but she had a difficult time in the governor's race.

Won the MO State Treasurer's Election in 2008 by a 3 percent margin and 2012 by a 5 percent margin, left office in 2016/2017 due to term limits, has not decided to run for any other statewide office since then.
