Adobe is pulling the plug on Muse
Great program. Adobe's bail will fuck over a lot of people.
I called Adobe to complain but the phone wait was an hour long.

(57,279 posts)1. That's too bad. It's good site builder for designers who aren't, or don't want to be coders.
Are they replacing it with something or just recommending Dreamweaver?
The good thing about Muse is its ability to let one switch from the code to the browser view quickly and easily to see your changes.
Also its InDesign-type dragability tools.

(31,774 posts)3. There's something else, but it's not as simple as Muse
Muse was offered only through Creative Cloud when the subscription service began. It was an attractive enticement to join, something I had been waiitng a long time, and it sucked me in.
Dreamweaver sucks -- I hate it.

(57,279 posts)4. Dreamweaver does suck. What are their plans for sites built with Muse?
They released their last upgrade yesterday ... said tech support will end next year.

(30,073 posts)2. open source and freeware alternatives
https://alternativeto.net/software/adobe-muse/
Not being a web page designer I can't comment if any of these are decent or simply more trouble than they are worth... but there do seem to be a lot of alternatives.
