i suspect a cloud issue in between DU and you.

(13,784 posts)6. If it's a browser issue then it might be an extension, or cookies/javascript being disabled.
I lose all the formatting buttons when I forget to turn javascript back on after disabling it for a site that puts up obnoxious banners, but I never tried logging in with either disabled. (accidentally, of course)
Browsers typically have a "reset" function. Haven't tried it.
