Question about iTunes

For a while, now, iTunes on my older desktop has been running slower than a Republican action plan. It takes forever to open and won't let me add any music to it. (I have a LOT already.) Since I'm using the Windows app, I'm wondering if switching to downloading it from the website (and then doing manual updates) would work.

os really good. $10/00/month and I have a;; kinds of directions to go, depending on my "mood".

Plays my ripped CD's and all kinds of created playlists. Best thing, it connects in my vehicles (via a BT dongle), seamlessly. And the stuff it suggests is truly awesome. Best consistent music experience of my life and, believe me, I've been following music delivery systems since way back when.....before 8-tracks.

1) Can you stream albums from the service?
2) Is there a limit to the amount of music you can have?

iTunes might not want to do this..... there were a lot of copy-protection issues early on. I'm not sure what the current state of the world is these days (and Apple's store downloaded music is no longer copy-protected).

But for a while you needed to either already be syncing the iPod with your computer (and/or iCloud) before it would consider your computer and the iPod to be part of the same pool.

E.g. a quick google turned up a couple of articles on this:
