1. how many files
2. file size or disk in use
3. file type.
4. type of disk or SSD.
5. the type of search specified.

Some file types might be investigated more deeply than others.

Could be 10 mins, could be 2 hours, imho. Sorry for the wide range of answers.

I just scanned mine and it took maybe 5 minutes. I don't think there's any way to say without more info.

1. Make an additional account on your computer. Make sure this new account is "Admin" type (administrator).

2. never use this account unless needed by a computer repair person.

The reason is, if your admin main account goes bad, this new account is ready to go.

computer had over 22,230 files!!!!!!! Yikes. And NO viruses.
