Just found out something interesting about using my iPhone as a hot spot

So I'm moving and ended my internet service. As fate would have it I can't move for a few more weeks. ! GACK ! NO INTERNET... no problem. I'll just use my iPhone as a hot spot and carry on..
I did everything that my Google coach and forums say but it did not work. As a last ditch effort I called my phone carrier and they said they have to flip a magic switch at their end to make it work. Turn the iPhone and iPad off and on they say.. Bing bang boom IT WORKS!!! Job done..
Happy days.. So the moral of my story is call your carrier if the hot spot does not work..
Now lets see if they charge me more per month for this "feature"...... hummmmmm

The biggest issue is if they charge based on your current contract, which could mean you are stuck with paying for the added service long after you no longer need it.

I hope that won't be the case, but it was for me a year or so ago.

on your plan, you shouldn’t get charged but call and double check. It’s a cool thing to have when you don’t have secure WiFi.

haS a ceiling. Overages charges apply beyond that ceiling. Check with you carrier as others have suggested.
