Related: About this forumI just ordered the iPhone SE 64 GB
My aging 5S has been my constant companion for a number of years. I had the battery changed out once and is needing it again. I did not like the size of smart phones which my wife calls "a piece of toast." The SE is reasonably priced and just a centimeter wider and taller. I can deal with that. I really wanted to stay with iPhone.
If we ever get the stimulus money we may be replacing an iMac and a Mac Book Pro. They are both getting a bit weird.

(31,798 posts)One of my go-guides for buying anything Apple. Worth perusing, perhaps, before buying that iMac (mine is getting up there too): https://buyersguide.macrumors.com

(4,187 posts)But when I switched carriers they said it was obsolete. So now I'm using the 7+ and yes! Too big! It's fine for everything except actually having a telephone conversation. Then it feels like I'm talking into a slab of something. I don't know how people who don't carry purses can move these things from place to place. For teenagers, jeans companies alter their pocket sizes from year to year based on how large telephones are that year.
I will check out your recommendation. Thank you!

(34,069 posts)that I thought was toast years ago. Went out and bought a newer, larger model about 5 or 6 years ago and it's great.
The old one was sitting in my attic and I thought about taking in, as a local Apple shop had opened up. Said it needed a new hard drive, so I replaced it with a new digital one for a little over a hundred bucks. I like it so much now the new one is my spare in the bedroom and gets very little use.

(12,285 posts)I found a lot of people pleading for an iPhone in a similar size to the 5S or 6. I am 70 and have to wear glasses to read my phone but It could be as big as my iPad and I still would want my glasses on. I don't often watch videos on the phone. I have been known to watch my local news when in a doctor's waiting room.
