I cannot figure it out and googling has not helped. The app suggested by my searches no longer exists in the App Store. Arg!
The attachment (lab order from the dr) is encrypted by Microsoft Office 365. I need to open the attachment on my iphone and send it to the WiFi printer. Is this even possible? Do I need a computer, an MS Office app, or ???
Help, please! Its been driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

(3,131 posts)I think you just click in it as you normally would and it should ask you for the password. Once open you can print it.
By the way the password should not be in the email with the attachment but people do that anyway. Kind of like keeping a key in the lock.

(106,336 posts)If not, I doubt that you can open it without sending it to a computer. Email it to a computer that has MS Office on it--unless they converted it to a pdf doc. Most cell phones can open a pdf doc.
I frequently encrypt documents created on Word and typically save as an encrypted PDF doc, which is a feature within MS Office/Word. It requires that you provide the recipient with a password, however. If it is a pdf doc, you should be able to double click on your cell phone and get a message that a passord is required to open.
I'd imagine you may have to call the Doctor's office tomorrow. Sorry!

If youve received an encrypted message from an organization that uses Microsoft Office 365 Message Encryption, you can sign in with a Microsoft account or with the work or school account you use with Office 365 to view your message. If you dont have a Microsoft account, you can follow this procedure to create one.
