Is there a way to speed it up?
I tried resetting it keeping my profile, not the "back to factory settings". Didn't help.
I spoke with an Apple Store person and he confirmed with me that when Apple updates their OS for the iPad it does slow older models down. So basically I'm screwed.
This reeks of planned obsolescence to me.

(2,593 posts)Each update has taken a toll, but I felt the need to update so that I'd be in sync with my newer iPhone. I know I'll have to replace the iPad, but I'm stretching it as far as I can.
Clearing history does help, but that wipes all of my passwords and I'm loathe to have to reenter them. Before updates, clearing history didn't wipe out the passwords....more secure now? Who knows.
Frustrating as hell when you're reading something and the damn thing fails and has to reload.
I agree that this is planned obsolescence, but I'm not giving in yet.

(4 posts)This makes me so angry! I would love to be able to use my device for its lifetime, and for not just email and web surfing, that what my android phone is for. I paid alot of money out in photo editing apps but to use them effectively I now need to shell out anywhere from $400 to $1000+ on a new device that I can use for what? another 3 years. I understand security and such but since when do stickers provide security? All the apps that came out with the new iOS 10 are sticker apps so iMessaging will be "snap-chatty" , thats a crock apple.
