Strange Battery issue- it is showing an X in the middle of the battery symbol.... and does not seem

to be charging. Although for a minute it changed back to percentages and showed 36%, not it is back to an X again. If the cord pulls out, it goes black screen immediately. I had a black screen and redid the PRAM and some other stuff before I could get it to show anything but a black screen. And ideas?

I just checked and it is NOT charging. Sometimes when I unplug stuff and replug it, it works. bettyellen Feb 2016 #9

and then under "Hardware" - "Power"

In the "Battery Information" area is the "Health Information"

The cycle count is how many times it has had to be fully charged and the Condition will tell you if it needs to be replaced etc.

charger? I had a lot of issues rebooting it before with it showing green. Hmm.
