Windows 11 is a joke: how to check battery health
1. go to start menu and click sign in as administrator.
How do I go to start menu?
Click on the start icon.
What does start icon look like?
ok, the blue button in the middle. When I click I don't get a start menu. I get apps. No administrator.
I searched for YouTube videos. THey have instruction for Win 11 but the graphics are all different from mine and no admin button.
I've had this pc 6 months just learning to tinker with it. Gonna be a long slog.

Still running xp on my cnc router and 7 on my cad design pc.

Windiws 11 has no redeeming qualities for me.

(988 posts)Is the complete interface change in some versions. It is like deciding to change the gas brake and steering placement on each new car model.

(10,002 posts)That old Gateway machine doesn't talk to the outside world anymore other than copying files to and from thumb drives.
I'm retired these days but am occasionally asked to draw up a survey or topo map. Both the machine and AutoCad boot up in an instant and run problem free like they did 20 years ago.
A Win 7 laptop still does most of the MS Office stuff for us and again, problem free.

Find the gear icon, and click to open settings. Then either type power or battery in the settings search box or navigate to system and power.
