my email was hacked.

Att sent email about changing to currently to continue email for my old address. After a due diligence search, I signed up. Now I've been hacked and contacts have been told by a fake me at a Hotmail address the I broke my femur and need financial help. 5 people so far have called me to let me know.

Now i cant access my emai because code to verify is sent to email that i cant access. I tried finding some support from att but they wanted money to "definitely" retrieve my email.

Anybody have this problem with currently.att?

This is hysterical. Tried getting code "another way".

Enter verification code
You'll get an email at ******@sbcglobal.net if it's linked to your account

------
6-digit code

Get this:

Too many attempts
The verification code was entered incorrectly too many times. Try again tomorrow.

So I tried tomorrow, today. Same message.

Quick thing to do. Get another free email account and tell your contacts that the old account is faked.

Beyond that?

Go to an ATT store and ask for a supervisor/tech person? Call them? Ask for text message verification?

I dunno. Is this the real ATT? It has a bad look.

Suggestions, other folks?

Do you think there is no such thing as currently.att? This sure seems real.

https://currently.att.yahoo.com/

From my 4 hours of trying this morning, it appears I have 29 days to reactivate it before its gone forever.

ATT does not host at weebly.

Weebly is a site that hosts anyone.

Looks totally spoofed.

Good luck recovering.

Remember, legitimate sites have well known names, like att.com, verizon.com and so on.

But I think this currently is for old emails like sbcglobal.net. if not, they need yo see what I showed you. The original email yelling me to switch came to me Saturday

Yes, get ATT to reset your account, and see if it was tampered with.
Please don't click on any link that's emailed or messaged to you without giving it the tests listed in those articles above.

If in doubt, ask in the help forum.

Good luck.

1) Dream job. ??? 2) Where I met my spouse. How could I get that wrong?

I've got to call tomorrow after 3:00 pm PT. I've got a case number. And a notification that someone tried to log-in to my account. I'm supposed to not try for 24 hours. It wasn't me.

Thanks for the info.
