Pushed the "manual" button on back of tv and now I can't get out of it. The remote won't work. Any ideas?

OP
Assuming you don't have the manual: Look up the brand & exact model and google it + manual

Several websites download pdfs of just about every appliance and electronic device-- most are free and you can download them to your computer for this and future needs.
Without it (and assuming it is not something simple that unplugging and letting it reset won't fix) we'd all likely just be guessing...

(10,812 posts)4. First question...why did you hit the button?
Second
is the remote charged or out of battery power? Third
is the eye on the remote clean?
Sometimes its best to go to the simple fixes first.
Then.

I have fresh batteries and I agree that it's best to try the simple fixes first. I'm still working on it

(10,157 posts)7. She is feeling so utterly guilty so I'm trying to make her feel better by saying I probably would have pushed it too.
I told her we will laugh about this Lucy/Ethel moment in no time. What else can I say?
