Scanning is too complicated

I had to upgrade and replace Linux and needed new scanner software. Can hardly find it for a 12 year old Canon. Scanners are being orphaned for scanning apps on your smart phone. I didn't want that lagging around forever, but it took me 4 hours to find and install new scan software. And it's not the greatest.

Practically any photo or graphics program will enable you to scan directly into it using a scan dialogue.

I generally use IrfanView, which is pretty straightforward. All you need is to have a scanner driver and make sure it is selected.

And there's the hack of using an old computer. I use the 2010 Mac laptop, and scan to a memory stick.

The unused AIO printer will scan to one in its accessory panel. And it has simple auto feed. People are giving them away due to ink costs. Most scan.

The RadioShark won't work with anything newer than the Mac laptop.
