(8,105 posts)YouTube and Google for me (on a laptop.) The nice people at Mac talked me through the fix (it was something like re-doing Firefox, but I don't know any more than that.)
has been trying to block users of ad blocking software. I've been using a program called "FreeTube" and been enjoying not dealing with all the annoyances on the Youtube website. I use it in Linux but apparently its available for Windows.

(18,121 posts)Is it possible that one of your extensions/add-ons has updated and is affecting YouTube? Do you even use browser add-ons?
Can you describe exactly what you see when you go to http://www.youtube.com/ and log in. I know they have been pushing the 'no ad-blockers' thing lately but you will usually see some sort of warning before you are kicked off.
Have you tried using a different browser, if so, what are the results? Sorry for so many questions, but it's hard to diagnose the problem without knowing stuff.

(18,121 posts)Try RIGHT clicking on the videos and choose 'Open in New Tab', then try ' New Private Tab'.
It's entirely possible that this is caused by the stupid No Ad-Blockers thing they are doing now, but as I said above, the always give you a warning or five before they stop access.

(18,121 posts)It's because, either known or unknown to you, there is an ad-blocker running in your browser. You can either disable it which doesn't enhance your YouTube experience, use one of the alternatives mentioned above or you can take advantage of one of the ways to bypass the ad-block detection.
You didn't say which web browser you are using. This is crucial to understanding how to get you going again. You may need to install a different browser - it's hard to say without knowing your set-up.
In the meantime, have a look at this site: https://gadgetstouse.com/blog/2023/12/01/bypass-ad-blockers-not-allowed-on-youtube/
