*UPDATE SOLVED* Thanks to canetoad! Is it called "Bing Daily Image"? - stopped working 2 days ago

Chrome is my default browser. But was getting the daily image at startup with the Like or "not a fan" (is that where Drumpf got that?). I don't want to change my (desktop wallpaper?) picture. Is it Microsoft Spotlight? Am not even sure I'm using the right jargon here.
I've done some very basic homework (Googling, looking through Settings), the answers were to go to Personalization - been there and nothing there except my desktop wallpaper. Don't get Search results in Settings or This Computer for Spotlight. In the digging around, under Apps saw that Microsoft Edge is "On" - should it be off with Chrome? Tia.

(18,121 posts)You are describing your desktop background picture - the wallpaper. I don't think this has anything at all to do with Chrome or Edge or any browser.
I think you're on the right track. Here are the steps:
1. Right click anywhere on desktop
2. Select Personalisation (this should bring you up on the right Settings page - Background)
3. First option Personalise your Background - drop down box with arrow. Select Windows Spotlight
You should be good to go.

(72,396 posts)And the Spotlight was just choosing from a half dozen random abstract graphics, for "background." My low tech fault for not knowing the right words. And we haven't even gotten to the other category of "Screensavers"!
What I mean is at Powering-on, when you Login, there used to be pictures of stuff (which is what is now GONE) - landscapes, architecture, animals. There was an optional choice to like the picture or "Not a fan". If you don't choose, the picture lasts a few days till the next one. If "not a fan" that pic gets replaced immediately. I sorta think it might be "Bing Daily Image."
That's different from my (permanent) Desktop Picture, after Logging-in, that I want to keep. Thanks, maybe this narrows it down.

(18,121 posts)I don't use Bing daily image and I've disabled the lock screen, but found a short tutorial that may do what you require.

* BACKGROUND
* LOCK SCREEN - somehow the Spotlight box had gotten unchecked. Spotlight is the thing!
