Help! Can't access my personal emails via Outlook.com and microsoft.com
I have a vexing problem with my PC laptop: I can't access my personal emails via Outlook.com and microsoft.com. As far as I can tell, all other websites are fine.
I am using the Chrome browser. I just updated to Windows 11, but let me clarify that I was having this problem BEFORE the update. I also updated the bios, cleaned the cache/cookies, reinstalled the network adapter, recycled my modem, etc.
I am running a virus check now.
But does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next?

(4,044 posts)If you can't get in from a different "client" the problem lies with MS or your login.
Sometimes server issues just resolve on their own after a few hours.

(7,715 posts)I am getting the same message I was in Chrome: [website] refused to connect.
As mentioned, above, I am able to get in via other devices/computers.
The last time this happened was about 20 years ago, and it was a virus. I HOPE that's not the case this time. The inability to also get onto microsoft.com is what's really worrying me. (However, I CAN access Microsoft.com using Edge, so that's a bit of a relief!)

2. go for a walk, yell at the neighbor in Swedish
3. start router
3a. wait a full minute
4. start computer

(7,715 posts)That is the one thing I didn't do was toreset the router. I turned the modem on and off but not the router.
Will give that a try and get some angst out by my tantrums!
Thank you and will report back.

Thank you! And, as always, thanks to all the DUers for their great advice.
