What's going on with Yahoo mail?

I can't log into my account on my desktop but my phone works just fine.

I use google to store and auto fill passwords. I haven't changed email address and as I said my cell phone logs right in. My tablet says the account isn't available at this time. I can get to the yahoo home page and enter my email address and the password but it tells me the password isn't right.

Searched for att/yahoo and found articles about old domains not working anymore,ie sbc, swbell, yahoo. Att is now currently.com??

1. Try creating a new account on computer

and login to Yahoo Mail.

and try other browsers while in your main account.

2. Have been using Chrome for years, just tried logging in with Edge and

get same results after manually entering user and pass.

Set up new account under currently.com but that doesn't help with mailbox etc.

4. Can you check the password on your phone?

Also, are you logging in on your phone or just accessing the yahoo app. I don’t ever logout of my yahoo app on my phone.

5. That happened to me a few weeks ago (sbc) on my desktop. Same issue as you with password

being incorrect. I rebooted my pc and all was well.

6. My nephew had his email account hacked from a yahoo user

That user emailed me to try and get me to loan him money calling me Aunt. I knew my nephew did not need money. The hacker just wanted me to send him a credit card number. Now my nephew can't use his email as it keeps going to yahoo. A real mess!

I had a Yahoo account since forever — probably close to thirty years, for sure over twenty. In its original AT&T incarnation it was my first email account. Last month I started having problems similar to yours (though I’m not sure if I could log on even with my cell). I ended up just abandoning the account. Fortunately over the years I acquired other accounts, including a dedicated business account, so losing AT&T/Yahoo wasn’t too traumatic.
