Whatiz?
So this has started showing up at the bottom of my screen. Just now and then, it's not constant. And when I hover the mouse over it the message that appears is "your location is currently in use". Well, yeah, I'm at my location and I am using my computer. But I'm way too chicken to click on it. Anybody know what it is/does?

(21,931 posts)1. I believe the bullseye means your location sensor is in use.
Edited. As I read your post, you knew that.
For a deeper explanation, if your device has a GPS, it's on. It can also get the info from your IP address, to I believe.
It'll set your clock.

(277 posts)3. I have that exact same icon on the bottom far left side of my computer.
When I hover my mouse over it, it says "launcher". When I click on it, it shows me apps that I have downloaded onto my computer instead of websites.

(11,444 posts)4. Do you have a Chromebook?
That's where the launcher is located on those.
