Cell phone problem....do I ask here??
Husband did something to his phone, he doesnt know what, but he now cant get on to WiFi. Does each cell phone have its own password to use to get on WiFi??? We both use the WiFi here in our house, but because we have our own phones, do we each have a password to get on?? Thanks.

(26,366 posts)where you can turn WiFI on and off.
It may be he just turned it off.
Here' the Tracphone help instructions for WiFi:
https://support.tracfone.com/faqs/1651623?device=24939
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
From the main screen, tap the "Apps" icon.
Tap the "Tools" folder.
Tap the "Settings" icon.
Tap "Wi-Fi." If necessary, tap the slider to turn Wi-Fi ON.
A list of the available Wi-Fi networks will populate the screen. Tap the desired network.
If prompted for a network password, enter the password and tap CONNECT.
Also power down the phone and turn it on again just in case.

(1,923 posts)Be sure and power-off and power-on your phone ... not just lock the screen. An alternative (that works for me) is to put the phone in "airplane mode" for a few seconds and then back to normal. That seems to reset the WiFi chip on my iPhone ... happens to me about once a month.
If that doesn't fix it, try power-cycling your wifi base station (aka cable modem or router).
