Windows Defender -- how do I add a SITE exclusion.

Today my security streaming is slowed to a crawl. Everything else is running fine. But I suspect one of a few things>

1) The autonat service is having complications.

2) Windows Defender did an update in the night that now requires that I go through another hurdle to set up a site exclusion. I can see where I can make an app exclusion, which forces me to add a file or folder name. But now a whole site url address. Could that problem be that I have to jump through another hoop to make sure I'm an Administrator? If so, how do I go about see where I am at with those settings?
