Do not ever go to read an article on USA Today

That has got to be the worst website on the Internet. You can't read the article, since it keeps jumping around while more and more advertisements load, and it bogs your computer down for a good ten minutes as it continuously download adware and bloatware, during which time you can do nothing. Even closing the browser does not stop the continuous downloading of all the crap that USA Today is transmitting to your machine, and anything you try to do on the computer will be very slow.

Sometimes the site will not let you see the content until you disable it on a page and allow ads but it's worth a try.

I have for years. It was awesome for a long time but more and more sites are insisting that you "white list" them or else you cannot see their content. It's a veritable rock and a hard place now.

After that I couldn't go there if I wanted to. I also put there clickbait sites, sites with slideshows, sites with loud audio. I have put many there and I don't miss them.

I am aware of all these products that I can add to my computer to protect me from this corporate malfeasance. No one seems offended by such corporate malfeasance, they simply tell me how I can add more software to my computer to allow this sleazy corporation top continue their crap and protect myself. Apparently, for corporations to abuse their clients is simply business as usual and not worthy the time I spent commenting on it.

Such abuse is,in fact, apparently a good thing, since it has spawned a major industry creating protective software which I can put on my computer to slow my browser down to a snail's pace.
