If you get a phone line with your internet provider why do you get less SPEED?
Moving, going to be using Comcast because ATT speeds offered max is 50, I need more so getting Xfinity 250 Mbps down.
I MIGHT need a phone because my Verizon signal IN the house is terrible for a variety of reasons. If wifi calling works, fine, if not then I might need a phone line provided by Comcast
BUT
Each time I look at internet only on the Comcast pages I can choose up to 1000 mpbs but whenever I add a phone to it the max speed offered when I do that is 60 mbps.
Without getting into the "why do you think you need those speeds", why is this?
(I stream 4k on more than one device at a time and am willing to pay for higher speeds even if I dont need them)

(234 posts)My major issue is with their cascading nodes and a "lost packet" issue that was slowing my internet/streaming to dial-up-speed crawl.
At least once a month it happens, and i get to spend many hours getting it resolved - and that is always with a tech appointment, and then the tech says "its a lost packet issues at the nodes", which, of course, the tech can't fix because that requires a different team to handle... might take up to 48 hours to fix every time.
I hate them. They're the only choice for high speed.

(717 posts)You just have to buy a little box, Obi200 on amazon about 60.00, get a free phone number from google and hook up with Obitalk.com. Works great for us. Youtube has plenty of video on how to hook it up.
