Hi, say someone posts a photo on Facebook. How can I determine the date the photo was taken and/or location? Is that possible?
thanks, John

(1,533 posts)When an image is uploaded, it is a new copy of the original file, which may or may not have embedded tags detailing the information you are looking for. At each stage where the image is transferred from the camera that took it, the embedded tags could be filled or not, transferred or not. The odds that the camera's clock is set correctly isn't certain, the odds that it has GPS capabilities and is turned on is even lower.
Sorry.
