Ping might be iffy if I was a badass gammer, but that's with at least 6 devices connected over wifi so it ain't bad.

The providers always throttle the consumer on the upload. Asses.

I get about 97+ Mbps download and 18 Mbps upload on Cox cable standard service.

But I'm not complaining.

I'd sooner go back to dial-up, maybe sign up for some wireless plan, than do business with Comcast. I'm satisfied with my inexpensive DSL.

The hardest I ever push my internet connection is a single "Standard" definition Netflix stream. It works fine for that.

When I first signed onto the internet I was using a 300 bit/sec modem at home. My university's internet connection was roughly equivalent to a 56k modem, shared by everybody.
