I had to buy three toasters before I found this one that actually works.

Unfortunately, it's more than $35. But if you shop around online you can probably find it for a really reasonable price. It will hold up to four slices. Not sure if they make a 2-slice version. They might, which would bring the price down.

It does a great job. I've had it for at least four years. Recently, I was watching America's Test Kitchen, and they were reviewing toasters. The Breville won hands down. I could have told them that. LOL!

A lot of the toasters I tried before this one, they had a horrible chemical smell inside of them. And when you would toast your bread, the smell would transfer to the bread and you could taste it. Horrible!

That's one of the things I love about the Breville. No horrible chemical smell. And it toasts your bread evenly.
