Do you regularly wash your pillows? Do we really need to?

Latest issue of AARP magazine says you should clean pillows every 3 months. If they're washable, just stick them in the washing machine.
(I don't know what to do if they're not washable.)

Any of yall do this? Do we really need to? I washed some pillows one time and it's been a while back. And of course I use pillow cases.

If they got wet/sweaty in a very hot summer period, I guess I would, but mine are mostly feather/down so I don't want to do so very often...

If I was allergic to dust mites, I guess I might more often, but...

Fox Noise is an anti-American pigsty, and I refuse to patronize any business that advertises on their shit-stained airwaves.

I run mine through the dryer at high heat for about 15 minutes every month or so, to kill mites. Washing pillows can ruin them, and you never really know which ones can be washed until after you wash them.

pillows and shove them in a standard size zippered pillow protector. Keeps them from getting flattened out. I wash the protectors once a month.
