Which OH Democrat is a perfect candidate for Governor in 2026?

2026 will be a Biden Midterm Election. All of the Statewide Elections in OH will be open due to term limits.
OH Statewide Elected Officials - Lt Governor Jon Husted,Attorney General Dave Yost,Secretary of State Frank LaRose, Treasurer Robert Sprague, and Auditor Keith Faber will be competing against each other in the Republican primary for Governor.
The Democratic candidates are likely to be Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther(been in office since 2016) Columbus is the most populated city in OH. Ginther served in the Columbus Board of Education(2001-2007)Columbus City Council(2007-2015)President of Columbus City Council(2011-2015). Former Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley(2013-2022)Democratic candidate for Governor in 2022. Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb(been in office since 2022). Tim Ryan if he wants to make a political comeback.

1. Only know Cranley. Sure I'll vote for him but...

Only if I have to. Weak choice at best. Anti public transportation. Hasn’t been supportive of city efforts to go green. There have to be better options…and he’s my guy in 2026 if he’s the dem candidate in the general.

My fave to ad to the list…Aftab Purvel. Current cincy mayor.

Know them both, no contest. And Aftab’s got legs, especially among younger voters, that Cranley can only dream of.
