If Angela Alsobrooks gets elected to the US Senate.

She will become the 1st black female US Senator from MD and the 1st US Senator from MD that has not served in the US House of Representatives before becoming US Senator since Joseph Tydings in 1965.
MD has a black US House Members that will make an excellent US Senator- Glenn Ivey.
Ivey worked in the US Senate as counsel to US Senators Don Reigle-MI,Paul Sarbanes-MD, and Tom Daschle of SD during the 1990’s.
Ivey received his Bachelors degree in Princeton and law degree in Harvard.
John Sarbanes also received his Bachelors degree in Princeton and law degree in Harvard.
Jamie Raskin received his Bachelors degree and law degree in Harvard.
Angela Alsobrooks received her Bachelors degree in Duke and law degree in University of MD/Baltimore. Ben Cardin received his law degree in University of MD/Baltimore.
