Both of them are over 80 years old. Both of them were elected to the US Senate in 2006 after serving over a decade in the US House of Representatives.
Cardin’s US Senate successor is going to be John Sarbanes. Cardin’s US Senate predecessor Paul Sarbanes’ son.
Sander’s US Senatr successor is going to be Becca Ballint.
