The 2 most recent CO US House Members in CO-2(Neguse and Polis) could end up in the US Senate.

Polis first served in the CO State Board of Education- At Large from 2001-2007. Polis then served in the US House of Representatives in CO-2 from 2009-2018 and then served as Governor of Colorado from 2019-2027. Polis has to leave the CO Governors office in 2027 due to term limits. Polis could run for and get elected to the US Senate in 2026 if the current incumbent US Senator Hickenlooper chooses not to seek re-election.
Neguse first served in the University of Colorado Board of Regents representing CO-2cd from 2009-2015. Neguse then served in the US House of Representatives in CO-2 since 2019. In 2026, Neguse ends up running for and getting elected to CO Governor succeeding Polis. Neguse could end up running for and getting elected to the US Senate in 2034 after serving 2 terms as Governor and if the other current incumbent US Senator Bennet chooses not to seek re-election.
