When the Democrats regain control of the US House of Representatives,
US Representative Joe Neguse(D-CO) will move from Chair of the US House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee to either Chair of the US House Democratic Caucus, Assistant Speaker of the US House of Representatives(position currently held by Jim Clyburn-SC who is likely to retire) or US House Majority Whip. Neguse was the Democratic US House Member who nominated Hakeem Jeffries for the Speakers position after Kevin McCarthy was unable win the Speakers position after the 11th vote. Neguse is also popular with all of the Democratic members of the US House of Representatives.
