US Senate seats that the Democrats have to win in 2026 in order to regain control of the US Senate.

Worst case scenario for Democrats in 2024 is losing WV and MT.
Democrats need to win every Democratic held US Senate seat up for re-election in 2026 including GA(Ossoff-D) and MI(Peters-D) and pick up NC(Tillis-R) and ME(Collins-R if open)
In 2026 Democrats will win
MA(Markey-D or Moulton-D)
RI(Reed-D or Magaziner-D)
DE(Coons-D)
OR(Merkley-D)
NJ(Booker-D)
IL(Durbin-D or Krishnamoorhi-D)
CO(Hickenlooper-D or Polis-D)
NH(Shaheen-D or Pappas-D)
VA(Warner-D)
NM(Lujan-D)
MN(Smith-D)
MI(Peters-D)
GA(Ossoff-D) avoids a 12/2026 runoff.
NC(Jackson-D)
ME(Golden-D if he doesn’t replace King in 2024.)

How does Beshear-D do against McConnell-R in KY?

IA will have 2 US Senate Elections in 2026.
Regular Election is Ernst-R
Special Election is Grassley-R(Pat Grassley succeeds his grandfather Chuck.)
There is no top tier Democrat in IA except Rob Sand who is more likely to run for Governor than the US Senate.
