Who will be the Democratic nominee for the 2024 MD US Senate Election if Ben Cardin retires and the

Democratic Candidates are US Representatives-
Glenn Ivey- Prince George’s County
Jamie Raskin- Montgomery County
John Sarbanes- Baltimore County.

Glenn Ivey is in his first term as member of the US House of Representatives but he has experience working in the US Senate as counsel to Democratic US Senators in the US Senate Whitewater committee. MD is a Democratic state that a black lawyer turn US House Member from Prince George’s County can win statewide in MD.

Jamie Raskin and John Sarbanes have more that 16 years legislative experience than Glenn Ivey.
Jamie Raskin served 10 years in the State Senate and 6 years in that US House.
John Sarbanes served 16 years in the US House.

Why would he even be under consideration? I'm sure we'll see an AA enter the race but hopefully it's someone with more experience than Ivey. I'm not in tune with MD politics so it is safe to say that Raskin would probably be the favorite once the seat opens up?
