In 2020, Democrats need a net gain of 3 to 4 seats.
Democrats are favored to hold onto every Democratic held seat up for re-election in 2020 except AL(Jones-D).
DE(Coons-D), IL(Durbin-D), MA(Markey-D), MI(Peters-D), MN(Smith-D), NH(Shaheen-D), NJ(Booker-D), NM(OPEN Udall-D), OR(Merkley-D), RI(Reed-D), and VA(Warner-D) will stay Democratic. 46D
Democrats need to pick up 4 to 5 Republican held US Senate seats up for re-election in 2020.
AZ(McSally-R vs Kelly-D) and CO(Gardner-R vs Johnston-D) are in the Tilt to Lean Democratic column. 48D
NC(Tillis-R) is a Pure Tossup with a Top Tier Democratic Challenger.
Democrats can pick up ME if Collins-R loses in the primary or Democrats nominate a top tier candidate.
Democrats will end up with at least 48 seats in the US Senate.
In 2022, Democrats need a net gain of 2 to 3 seats.
Democratic held US Senate seats up for re-election in 2022 are in AZ(Kelly-D), CA(Harris-D), CO(Bennet-D), CT(Blumenthal-D), HI(Schatz-D), IL(Duckworth-D), MD(Van Hollen-D), NV(Cortez Masto-D), NH(Hassan-D), NY(Schumer-D), OR(Wyden-D), VT(Leahy-D), and WA(Murray-D). CA,CT,HI,IL,MD,NY,OR,VT and WA are safe Democratic, CO is Likely Democratic, NV and NH are Lean Democratic, AZ is Tilt Democratic with Ducey-R as the Republican nominee. 48D
Republican held US Senate seats up for re-election in 2022 which Democrats are likely to win are in:
PA(Toomey-R vs Lamb-D) and WI(Walker-R vs Pocan-D) 50D
The 51st Democratic seat will be in:
FL(Rubio-R vs Murphy-D), GA(Woodall-R vs McBath-D), IA (Reynolds-R vs Axne-D), NC(Forest-R vs McCready-D), and OH(Portman-R vs Ryan-D).
